airlift was invited to the fourth Ilan Ramon Space Conference commemorating the loss of the first Israeli astronaut and his fellow crew members aboard Space Shuttle Columbia STS-107. The event took place at the Fisher Brothers Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies in Herzliya, Israel from the 27th till the 29th of January. It was attended by large delegations from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Italian Space Agency (ASI).

A business forum attended by officials from the United States Commercial Service and representatives from major American and Israeli aerospace companies reflected upon the following themes:

Technological advancement of the Israeli space industry
Global competitiveness (see airlift‘s presentation)
Expected impact of future policies
Transnational partnership opportunities.
